Wendy's opens new location in Denton
DENTON — The Wendy’s in Denton is officially open. On Saturday, hundreds of residents attended the official grand opening of the Wendy’s in Denton on Legion Road. The restaurant started with a big promotion, giving the first 100 guests in line free Wendy’s for a year. The new restaurant added 45 jobs to Denton under the ownership of the Flynn Group, the franchise operator said in a press release. The 2,490-square foot location features Wendy’s signature menu items. Its regular hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 12 a.m., seven days a week. “The town is excited to welcome the Wendy’s to town. Thoughtful economic development is important for our community,” Denton Mayor Abby McNinch said to the Star Democrat on Tuesday. “The (Route) 404 commercial corridor projects such as Wendy’s and our equally important downtown development help foster a great place to call home.” Town planners approved the application for the building back in May 2025, and construction had started in July 2025.
