First ever “Lansing Restaurant Week” begins

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– Lansing foodies; this one’s for you! Today starts Lansing Restaurant Week- which officials say is a great way to try out the different dining scene options mid-Michigan has to offer.

“I think it’s great. I think a lot of restaurants could use the visibility. I think there’s a lot of restaurants in Lansing that have a lot to offer, and I think it’s exciting that people can go around and try different things and support local businesses,”  Kyle Hadden, Assistant Guest Service Manager said.

6 News caught up with one participating restaurant, Toscana- which is one of the newest places on the list of 36.

Toscana will offer a pasta trio dish- including Fettucine, gnocchi, and bolognese.

“We have had some other restaurants pop up around Michigan Avenue and other places around town. So there’s always a lot going on in Lansing when it comes to our food scene, and we’re thrilled to be a part of it,” Hadden said.
