Community safe after swift cleanup of dangerous chemical spill in Mansfield
(WJAR) — Early Tuesday morning in Mansfield, a 911 call came in for a fluid leak at a business on Maple Street, but things ended up escalating very quickly. “It was contained immediately,” said Deputy Fire Chief John Terry with the Mansfield Fire Department. “A lot of times we take that as gasoline or something leaking from a vehicle, I wouldn’t say downplayed but it was a single engine response at that time and when they got on the scene they realized it was an actual fluid leak from a transport vehicle.”
