    Laguna Park Library to host plant sale fundraiser May 11 News Staff Wed, 05/01/2024 - 06:35 Image Body

    The Laguna Park Library will host a Mother’s Day Plant Sale on Sunday, May 11.

    The fundraiser sale will feature hanging baskets, bedding plants, succulents, and house plants.

    In June, the library will reboot its Coffee Club on the second Wednesday of the month through September.

    The library will provide guest speakers, after which the Conversation Café will resume.

    In February, the library’s annual Chocolate Festival was a huge success. A portion of the sales of Terrilynn Nuts and Fruits will go toward the library’s activities.

    In January, new members of the library’s board of directors were elected. The directors are as follows: Ed Sanders, president; Gwen Burnham, treasurer; Lisa Scott, secretary; and Jeanne Weinkauf, board member and past president.

    About the library

    The Laguna Park Library is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization which relies completely on donations and fundraisers to cover its operating expenses.

    The Laguna Park Library offers a wide range of services including:

    • UPS package return drop off station.

    • Computer lab.

    • Copying and faxing.

    • Small food bank for emergencies.

    • Gift shop.

    The library’s hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m -2 p.m.

    The library is located at 356 Highway 22, a few blocks from the Lake Whitney Dam in Laguna Park.
