    EMA: Lightning strike leads to barn fire in LaGrange

    LaGRANGE, Ga. (WRBL) — A barn caught fire after being struck by lightning in LaGrange, according to preliminary information received by the Emergency Management Agency.

    First responders are present at Murphy Ave. as of about 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. There is no word on damage at this time.

    Murphy Ave. is about five minutes south of LaGrange’s downtown area.

    The lighting strike came in the midst of weather aware conditions that led to multiple watches and warnings in the News 3 viewing area. To stay up to date, follow the First Alert Weather Team .
