Ribbon cut at Mallory Lake

On Tuesday morning, the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the new Advenir at Mallory Lake Apartments off of S. Davis Road with a ribbon cutting.

Property Manager Hannah Callahan said construction began on the new apartments in 2021. That’s when work began on clearing the approximately 40 acres of forest where the new development sits. The property was previously owned by the Mallory family in LaGrange, the complex’s namesake.

“Our management company is Greystar, which is the largest apartment rental company in the world. They’re amazing,” Callahan said. “They’re all about the community.”

Advenir is the developer, they’re also out of Atlanta, Callahan said.

Callahan said the apartments have been open for about a month and move-ins started on April 1.

Mallory Lake has 300 units which are all one, two and three-bedroom apartments. The rents range from $1,300 to $1,900. Callahan said they already have 20 leases signed, so they are about 5 percent filled after less than a month.

“We’re going to have a pickleball court here, and The Thread kind of runs through the back, so our residents will have direct access to the trail. It will also be a gated community,” Callahan said.
