The Barnegat Garden Club will lead a plant tour of the Barnegat Branch Trail on Friday, May 31, beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is free. The short, leisurely walk starts at the parking lot by the entrance to the trail. JACKSON – The township made it to the top 10 list of the safest communities in the state based on a recently released FBI criminal statistics study. Out of 564 towns and cities in New Jersey, Jackson was ranked tenth.
