KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - The Kinston Police Department says after a six-month-long investigation, three men are behind bars facing drug trafficking charges. The police department’s Violent Crime Action Team closed an investigation into the distribution of crack cocaine with the arrests of three Kinston men: 53-year-old Robert Williams, 44-year-old Michael Fisher, and 47-year-old Perry Jones.

LA GRANGE - An 18-year-old has been arrested and charged with a February shooting of a 15-year-old juvenile in La Grange. On Thursday, Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Da’Marie Jyz’mire Gray of La Grange on a first-degree attempted murder charge. The charge stemmed from a Feb. 17 incident in which a 15-year-old juvenile was shot in the hand and upper leg while walking down the road in the 500 block of North Forbes Street in La Grange.
