‘I want other people to be diligent:’ 82-year-old homeowner gets results after more than a year of waiting
HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) - After more than a year of waiting, a Henrico homeowner has brand new siding after her home was damaged by hail in April 2023. “On April 1st of 2023, this whole neighborhood had a huge hailstorm. I mean, it was hitting my windows. I thought it was going bust the windows,” explained Brenda Harless. “About 10 days [later], there was a gentleman canvasing the neighborhood, and he knocked on my door and identified himself and he worked for Noryab Construction, and that he was coming to the neighborhood because they knew that damage had occurred over here.”

Warren County commissioners to vote on proposed FY 2025 budget June 26
The Warren County Board of Commissioners will vote on the proposed budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year during its work session on Wednesday, June 26, which will begin at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Warren County Armory Civic Center, located at 501 US Hwy. 158 Business East, Warrenton.
Voting set for Tuesday; filing deadline for local candidates nears
The June 18 primary to select Republican and Democratic nominees to run for Congress in Virginia’s Fifth District in November is only days away. Early voting began on Friday, May 3 and ends Saturday, at 4:30 p.m. Early ballots must be cast at the registrar’s office at 316 Washington St.
Lake Gaston Association inducts new Directors during Saturday meeting
The Lake Gaston Association inducted four new officers and selected another to serve a fourth term during its annual meeting Saturday at Lake Gaston Baptist Church. John Cataldo, a seasoned leader, will continue his service on the LGA Board, representing Brunswick County. With a wealth of experience, Cataldo has guided the LGA in various roles, including a successful tenure as president.
Public hearing announced for Community Development Block Grant-Neighborhood Revitalization Program
