BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - It’s National Barbeque day, and what better way to celebrate than with some brisket. C&J Barbeque general manager Taylor Gonzalez explains how they make brisket the C&J way. He begins by trimming the fat on the meat, then adds seasonings and a mix of pickle juice and mustard. The temperature is set in the smoker to 160 before the meat is placed inside and left.
Bryan school bus drivers navigate Thursday's flash flooding without incident
Despite flash flood conditions Thursday, Bryan school district bus drivers made sure to get each child home without incident. “I drove school buses for 10 years and I’ve seen some bad weather, but I’ve never seen it like this,” Lori Sears, director of transportation and bus driver, said Friday. “For me, driving out in the country, what I was seeing was the bus being pushed by the wind and then dealing with water on the road.”
