    Toddler hospitalized after dog attack

    WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. ( WATE ) – A two-year-old has been hospitalized in Knoxville, Tenn. after an attack by a pack of dogs in Kentucky, according to Whitley County Fiscal Court.

    There was possible coyote involvement in the attack, which occurred in the Johnny Hollow area of Rockholds, near Whitley County North Elementary School.

    The toddler was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center and their condition is unknown as of early Tuesday morning.

    Whitley County, Ky. officials issued a public notice on Monday asking people to be on the lookout for a pack of around 10 dogs or coyotes in the area. At last check, at least four dogs including the ones that were apparently the most aggressive, were caught.

    People are advised not to approach the dogs and to call 911.
