    University of Tennessee student, 17, found safe

    KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ( WATE ) — A missing 17-year-old University of Tennessee student has been found, according to the University of Tennessee Police.

    UTPD previously shared early Friday morning that the teen was last seen near his West KNoxville home on Thursday. On Sunday, the police department released that he had been found and was safe.

    “Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word, shared on social media and sent well wishes.”

    Initially, UT Police said the teen’s vehicle was last spotted around 7:45 a.m. near the 2200 block of Cumberland Avenue heading towards the UT campus. on May 2.
