the first time since 1803, two broods of cicadas will emerge at the same time, one after a 17-year cycle and one after a 13-year cycle. They should arrive in late May or early June depending on weather temperatures, according to a news release from the UT Arboretum Society.

Where will they show up in East Tennessee? Join at 7 p.m. April 4 for a Zoom program of the First Thursday Nature Supper Club sponsored by the Arboretum Society.

Michelle Campanis, University of Tennessee Arboretum education coordinator, and Stephen Lyn Bales, naturalist, author and artist, will discuss these fascinating insects, the release said.

The program is free, but registration is required to receive your Zoom link and the recording. The program will be recorded and sent to all who register at www.utarboretumsociety.org.

For any questions or registration issues, email mcampani@utk.edu.
