The Olympic League's powerhouse softball teams flexed their collective muscles Friday during the first day of the Class 2A West Central/Sea-King Bi-District tournament at the RAC in Lacey, securing four of the six state berths available.

Two of those berths will go to No. 4 North Kitsap and No. 6 Olympic after both teams went 2-0 in convincing fashion. The Vikings and Trojans face off in Saturday's title game at 5 p.m. It will be the third meeting between the schools this spring. North Kitsap won the first two, 6-3 and 4-3.

Another state berth will go to No. 7 Kingston, which qualified for state for the first time in program history after finishing the day 2-1. The final berth will go to No. 1 Port Angeles, which matched Kingston with a 2-1 mark.

Last year's 2A state champion, North Kitsap (16-5), posted a pair of 5-3 victories Friday. The first came against No. 5 Fife in a winner-to-state game, while the second came against Port Angeles in the semifinals. The Vikings and Roughriders shared the Olympic League title during the regular season, but Port Angeles knocked off North Kitsap 2-1 in a tiebreaker game earlier this week to earn the district tournament's top seed.

Seeding meant little for Olympic (16-4) in its two games Friday as the Trojans dismantled No. 3 Sammamish 11-0 in the first round with junior pitcher Brenda Morrison throwing a no-hitter. In the semifinal round, Olympic routed No. 2 Franklin Pierce 14-3.

Kingston (12-7) dropped its first game against Franklin Pierce, 8-1, before winning a pair of loser-out games. The Buccaneers edged No. 10 White River 8-7 before blowing out Sammamish 30-1 in a winner-to state contest.

No. 13 Bremerton (6-9) went 1-1 in the tournament, beating No. 12 Evergreen 13-2 before being eliminated by No. 5 Fife, 16-5. No. 14 North Mason (9-10) dropped its opener 11-4 against No. 11 Orting.

Klahowya (16-5) won the 1A West Central District tournament title with two victories Friday at the RAC. The No. 2 Eagles shut out No. 3 Seattle Christian 6-0 before upsetting No. 1 Cascade Christian 4-2 in the title game. Klahowya, which lost twice to Cascade Christian during the regular season, saw McKenna Sullivan unlock a 2-2 tie in the fifth inning with a two-RBI double. Bailey O'Brien earned the win, striking out nine batters while allowing just three hits.

In the 4A West Central/Southwest Bi-District tournament, South Kitsap (13-9) is still alive for a state berth after finishing 1-1 on Friday at the Kent Service Ballfields. The Wolves, seeded No. 12, defeated No. 5 Tahoma 8-1 in a loser-out game before falling to No. 4 Skyview, 6-3. South Kitsap needs to win two games Saturday to secure a state berth, starting with a 10 a.m. matchup against No. 15 Battle Ground at 10 a.m.
