    Kingsport Parks and Recreation to host ‘School’s (Almost) Out Skatepark Day’

    KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) – Kingsport Parks and Recreation is collaborating with 21:12 Skateboarding and Lincoln Elementary School to host the first ‘School’s (Almost) Out Skatepark Day’ on May 19.

    The free event will be held at Scott Adams Memorial Skatepark, 2016 Brickyard Park Drive, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

    Ridgeview Elem. teaches professional skills at first Amazing Shake Competition

    The ‘School’s (Almost) Out Skatepark Day’ will host the following, according to a release from Kingsport Parks and Recreation:

    • Skateboarding
    • Quad and Inline Skating
    • Scootering
    • BMX’ing
    • Children’s Activities
    • Giveaways
    • Activity Booths
    • Food Trucks

    Activity booths will feature options such as ‘paint-your-own grip tape’ and a ‘mini-board booth.’ The riders from Woodstock Skateshop will also offer a skateboarding demonstration.
