    Missing Kingsport woman found safe in Knoxville

    KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — A woman at the center of a Silver Alert who was missing from Kingsport was found safe in Knoxville, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

    Around 4 p.m., the TBI shared that a Silver Alert had been issued for Pauline Sykes, 86, who was last seen Friday between Fort Henry Drive and Atoka Lane. at 4:41 p.m., The TBI shared in an update that she was found safe in Knoxville.

    University of Tennessee student, 17, reported missing

    The TBI said Sykes may have been be traveling in a silver 2002 Buick Century car.

    Sykes was last seen wearing a blue and white striped shirt, mint-colored pants, and black tennis shoes. She is 5-foot 3-inches tall, weighs 135 pounds, and has gray hair and brown eyes.

    While Sykes was missing, anyone who saw Sykes her was asked to call Kingsport police at 423-229-9436 or the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
