KIMBERLING CITY, Mo. — Kimberling City Police Chief Todd Lemoine was awarded with an incredible honor Tuesday.

The Missouri Police Chiefs Association (MCPA) decided to name Lemoine as their 2023 Outstanding Missouri Police Chief of the Year at their annual MCPA conference on April 30, 2024.

Lemoine took over as chief of the Kimberling City Police Department on November 2, 2021, after a mass exodus at the department left the city with no police chief and no one on their police force.

In his nomination letter, the City says he quickly rejuvenated the police department with new officers ready for the police force in four months.

The City also says Lemoine was an advocate for proper training and outfitting of officers, comparable salaries, giving officers tools needed to safely do their jobs and community outreach.

Lemoine also started multiple programs since he became police chief, like community policing , National Night Out , Coffee Talk Thursday’s with Todd once every month, Neighborhood Watch and more.
