5/5/2024 9:39 a.m. UPDATE: Lavaya Beck was found safe. The RCPD is currently seeking the public's help to locate 13 year old Lavaya Beck. Police have checked numerous locations since she was reported missing at 4:30 p.m. She was last seen at around 12:50 p.m. in the 4300 block of Wonderland Drive in western Rapid City.

Felony Alert Rapid City: Woman wanted for grand theft and 2nd degree burglary
RAPID CITY, S.D. - Multiple felony arrest warrants have been issued for Courtney Holly Roberts, including charges of 2nd Degree Burglary, Grand Theft, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Roberts, born in 1985, is a White female, approximately 5’04” tall, 125 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes. She is also listed as a Department of Corrections (DOC) parole absconder. Roberts is last known to be in or around Rapid City, South Dakota.
Woman stabbed in Rapid City, suspect found hiding in church
RAPID CITY, S.D. - Around 11:30 p.m. on May 1, Rapid City Police Department responded to a disturbance report in the 1200 block of Atlas St. where individuals were reportedly fighting. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a woman had been stabbed during the altercation. The victim was found nearby and subsequently transported to the hospital with significant but non-life-threatening injuries.

18-year-old motorcyclist killed in crash identified
PENNINGTON COUNTY, S.D. (KELO) — The person killed in a crash Saturday evening near Rapid City has been identified by the South Dakota Department of Public Safety. The Department of Public Safety says 18-year-old Joshua M. Garner of Rapid City was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle and was traveling eastbound on Upper Spring Creek Road. The driver of a Honda Ridgeline was traveling westbound on the same road and began making a left turn onto Arena Drive when the oncoming motorcycle struck the rear passenger side of the Honda.
