First Alert Forecast: Humid with a few showers Wednesday into Thursday
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Labor Day weekend ended on a much drier note than it started, but the humidity is about to briefly return. An approaching front will toss some clouds and showers our way Wednesday, likely as early as late morning, so the temperature forecast is a bit less certain than usual. More cloud cover could keep highs closer to the upper 70s and lows 80s versus mid to upper-80º highs. Furthermore, how much sunshine/heating we’re able to attain will have a big influence on how much storms are able to grow during the afternoon and evening hours. Even in a worst-case scenario, however, widespread severe weather is not expected.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Yesterday was near perfect with seasonal highs and lower humidity. Today will be just as nice, just with added heat and humidity. Temperatures rise back into the low to mid 80s across the area, with humidity making it feel closer to 90 degrees later this afternoon under partly cloudy skies. We will have a few more glimpses of summer this week before a cold front will cool us down later this week.
