    Minors crash stolen vehicle, felonious charges follow

    KETTERING, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Multiple jurisdictions responded to a crash in Kettering Saturday afternoon where it was discovered minors were operating a stolen vehicle.

    According to a spokesperson for Kettering Police Department, the crash took place in the area of the 4800 block of Rean Meadow Dr. The crash report states the incident took place at 2:37 p.m.

    Dispatch confirmed to officers the vehicle was stolen out of Sugarcreek, according to Sugarcreek PD. Centerville PD responded to assist as well.

    All six occupants fled from the vehicle but were later located and identified. Five of the six occupants were juveniles, all were between the ages of 10 and 18.

    All but one of the occupants were located in the backyard of a home in the 2700 block of Walford Dr. The sixth was turned in by his guardian after making it back to their home.

    Kettering PD says the juvenile who was operating the vehicle, age 14, was cited for No Operators License and Failure to Control, and a criminal charge of Receiving Stolen Property (felony).

    They have been forwarded to the juvenile court for filing.
