    Community support pours out for West Richland paraeducator's family after fatal shooting at William Wiley Elementary

    KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Tri-Cities and area communities came out Friday night to the Summer's Hub in Kennewick to support the family of a West Richland woman who lost her life in a shooting last month.

    Amber Rodriguez was a paraeducator at William Wiley Elementary School in West Richland. She was shot and killed on April 22 in front of other staff and students, as well as her son. Authorities said her ex-husband committed the crime, then ran from the area.

    The event was held at Summer's Hub in Kennewick and included a silent auction that was worth over $32,000 dollars in items, including a 1-Year membership to The Pacific Clinic, a Guided Duck Hunt, tattoo certificates, a two-night stay at Eagle Cap Chalets in Wallowa Lake, Canyon Lakes Golf, photography sessions, handmade quilts, a Benton-Franklin Fair VIP concert package, various wines, and much more.

    Pacific Clinic partnered up with the Hub because Ambers sister's and her niece work there.
