    Operation Best Friend: Meet Naya!

    By Morgan Huff,

On Operation Best Friend, the Benton-Franklin Humane Society will feature one dog that's looking for a home every Wednesday on Good Morning Northwest.

On May 1st, the dog of the day was 3-year-old Pitbull, Naya.

Naya came to the Benton-Franklin Humane Society through its "Happily Ever After" program which is how it transfers animals from partnered shelters.

Naya is the shelters sweetheart and front office dog. She is very friend and loves greeting everybody who comes to the shelter.

BFHS said Naya is a couch potato but also loves to play with toys every once in awhile.

She likes the other dogs at the shelter and being a front office canine, she sees other animals quite often. While she does take her time to warmup to them, she never has gotten overly aggressive or talkative. She would do well with the right dog friend.

Naya knows basic skills like "sit" and is house-trained. She also loves car rides and does well in the car.

Naya is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $100.

The family who decides to adopt any of the pets featured weekly will receive a $50 gift card to Paws Natural Pet Emporium.

The Benton Franklin Humane Society is located at 1736 East 7th Avenue, Kennewick, WA 99337

Watch #OperationBestFriend every Wednesday on Good Morning Northwest at 5 and 6 a.m.
