Knoxville to Celebrate July 4th with Fireworks and Free Festival at World's Fair Park
Knoxville is gearing up for a spectacular celebration of Independence Day with its annual Festival on the 4th event, which promises an array of family-friendly activities and entertainment. The festival is set to take place on Thursday, July 4, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at World's Fair Park, including a lineup of performances across multiple stages and an impressive fireworks display to wrap up the festivities.
Knoxville welcomes around 150 new US citizens during naturalization ceremony
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Around 150 East Tennesseans are officially U.S. citizens as of Friday, after a naturalization ceremony welcomed them to the country in downtown Knoxville. The ceremony was held Friday morning in the Knoxville City-County Building. The applicants came from 50 different countries across the world and as U.S. citizens they can apply for a passport, register to vote and sponsor other family members to move in.

Report: Knox County traffic deaths up 35% compared to 2022.
KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — New statistics from the Knox County Regional Forensics Center show a dangerous trend of traffic-related deaths. In 2022, the report said 100 people died on Knox County roads.
