Autopsy reveals cause of death for Knoxville Police officer who collapsed during training
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A KPD officer who died during training passed away because of natural causes, an autopsy report said. Wisbens Antoine was training to become a Knoxville Police officer, set to be sworn in on March 4. He collapsed on Feb. 23 and was pronounced dead early in the morning on Feb. 25.
2 juveniles detained after two-year-old shot in apartment, Knoxville police say
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knoxville Police Department said it is investigating after a 2-year-old child was shot inside of an apartment on Saturday. KPD said officers and members of the Knoxville Fire Department were dispatched to an apartment at The Vista apartment complex on E. Hill Ave. around 5:30 p.m. Saturday after a 2-year-old girl was shot after a gun was discharged inside the apartment.
Police find missing Oak Ridge teen
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)—Officers with the Oak Ridge Police Department were looking for a missing 16-year-old who was last seen Saturday. She has since been found safe. According to police, Elsie Barber was last seen leaving her home on foot around 10 p.m., wearing a grey sweatshirt, grey sweatpants and dark Converse shoes. ORPD officials also said she was considered endangered since she does not have access to her medication.

La Herradura prepares to reopen after woman crashes into restaurant
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A restaurant on North Broadway is preparing to reopen after a woman crashed through the restaurant earlier this month. On May 4, officers with the Knoxville Police Department responded to a reported hit-and-run involving a car at La Herradura Restaurant at 2526 N. Broadway just before 10 p.m., according to court documents.
