Miami Dolphins Head Coach Has Hilarious Response When Asked About Harrison Butker Situation

After making some controversial comments during a graduation speech at Benedictine College earlier this month, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has seen a wave of criticism online.

Butker's speech, which many found to be misogynistic, homophobic and offensive on several levels, had fans questioning how his Chiefs teammates and NFL colleagues would react.

As the reactions have poured out from the sporting world over the last few days, we've seen a few high-profile individuals — such as Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid — be asked to comment on the situation. This past week at NFL OTAs, we also saw Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel be asked how he would handle the situation as a coach.

    Unsurprisingly, McDaniel's response was comical.

"Do you encourage players to talk about that amongst themselves?" a reporter asked. "Do you ask them to leave that out of the building? How do you handle the politics?"

“Well, I’m glad you asked…” McDaniel said with a HEAVILY sarcastic tone.

It's a touchy subject to discuss since it is entrenched in a lot of politics, so choosing to stay away generally isn't a bad idea. Or, you could go the route of Mahomes, who handled the questions with great poise.

"I've known him for seven years," Mahomes said. "I judge him by the character he shows every day and that's a good person. ... We're not always going to agree. He said certain things I don't agree with."

We will continue to see how the backlash for Butler continues to play out, but for now, I'm not sure how many more coaches will be asked about the subject.
