Chiefs rookie Xavier Worthy hasn't received the warmest welcome through his first few weeks in Kansas City.

On Wednesday night, Worthy was the victim of a car theft. The rookie wide receiver's vehicle was stolen from his apartment complex parking lot, the Chiefs announced in an official statement.

This theft has garnered quite a bit of attention on social media, and many fans are making jokes about Chiefs second-year wide receiver Rashee Rice.

Rice was arrested and faces eight charges for causing a high-speed, six-vehicle crash on a Dallas highway earlier this year.

"Have they checked Rashee Rice’s place?" one fan asked after the theft of Worthy's car.

"Rashee Rice driving Xavier Worthy's brand new car," another said.

"Rashee Rice trying everything to stay WR1," another added.

Rice, the Chiefs' leading wide receiver target in 2023, will likely begin the 2024 season with a suspension for his off-field actions. Rice's presumed absence no doubt contributed to the Chiefs' decision to select Worthy with the No. 28 overall pick in this year's draft.
