CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Kanawha County teen is going to jail for 11 years in connection with the 2021 shooting death of a Capital High School freshman. Chrishaun Coller, 16, was sentenced to the maximum time Thursday in Kanawha County Circuit Court on charges of involuntary manslaughter and wanton endangerment. CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A teenage boy has been sentenced in connection to the shooting death of a Capital High School freshman. Chrishaun Coller, 16, was sentenced as an adult by Kanawha County Circuit Court Judge Maryclaire Akers to one year in jail for involuntary manslaughter, with credit to time served. He was sentenced to five years for both of the wanton endangerment charges, which he will serve consecutively.
