Local student recognized by UW-Whitewater
WHITEWATER-- Dakota Grueneberg, from Reeseville, who recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in occupational safety at UW-Whitewater, was recognized in the university's Hired Before Graduation campaign. Every year, UW-Whitewater showcases students who have landed a job, earned a job promotion, been accepted to graduate school or started a company before commencement. As a result of a UW-Whitewater education, students gain valuable and transferrable skills, secure coveted internships and are often hired by employers before graduation. Each year, more than 600 employers come to campus for job fairs, giving students a chance to network and even apply for jobs and internships on the spot. Nearly 99 percent of recent graduates report they are employed or enrolled in continuing education within one year of commencement.
