Fazolis Joplin abruptly closes doors for good

JOPLIN, Mo. (KOAM) — Top fans of Joplin News First told us Thursday afternoon Fazoli’s, 4027 Richard Joseph Blvd, has abruptly closed.

We went to see for ourselves and on the door read a sign:

“ CLOSED FOR BUSINESS. It has been a pleasure serving our guests, who have become friends and family over the last 25 years, but it is time to say our goodbyes. We are incredibly grateful for your support throughout the years, and we want to assure you that this decision was not taken lightly. ”— FAZOLI’S

The most recent information available shows that Joplin’s Fazoli’s is owned by a Springfield, Mo. based company, Fazwest Group. The Joplin property, .95 acres is owned by Fazwest Properties LLC.

The company owns two other Fazoli’s locations in Springfield. They appear to remain open as a second sign the front door that states:

“CLOSED FOR BUSINESS GIFT CARDS CAN BE REDEEMED AT THE TWO SPRINGFIELD, MO LOCATIONS.”

It’s unknown how many lost their full-time or part-time jobs at the restaurant.

We are working to find more information. We discovered of the closing after normal business hours, but we reached out to FAZWEST LLC in Springfield, only able to leave a voicemail. We will update this article with more information when we hear back.
