    Power outages, damage reports rolling in as severe storms move through Mid-Missouri

    A line of severe thunderstorms rolled through Mid-Missouri throughout the overnight/ early morning hours leading to damages and power outages across the region.

    Damage has been reported in the Joplin area as strong straight line winds moved through around 10:30 p.m.

    Tree limbs were broken and shingles were blown off just south of Stover as storms rolled through right around 1:10. Pettis County Emergency Management also reported wind damage with a large tree down along Highway 127 and Pleasant Green, and stop lights were out at Highway 65 and Route HH at 1:33.

    Higbee Fire reported that a tree pulled a utility pole out of the ground. Also in Randolph County, 3" tree limbs and power poles were broken in Moberly.

    Damages to One More Bar and Grill in Sullivan were reported after the passing of a tornado warned cell early this morning.

    Both the National Weather Service Office in St. Louis and Kansas City are sending out survey teams later this morning to investigate damage reports across areas near Slater to Higbee, west of Sedalia to pilot Grove, and Sullivan Missouri.

    The ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Team continues to monitor severe storms and damage reports as they come in.
