Flat Gap woman arrested following one-vehicle crash
A one-vehicle collision led to the arrest of a Flat Gap woman on charges of alcohol intoxication and leaving the scene of an accident May 10. Deputy Isaac Owens of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office said he was dispatched to a Flat Gap residence in reference to a woman who called 911 and said she was involved in a single-vehicle crash and could not open the driver’s side door, according to the arrest report.
Johnson County woman on the run from police after stealing from King’s Daughters Clinic
Prestonsburg Police Department has issued a warning to the public of credit fraud and hoping for help in locating the woman they suspect in the crime. Katie Picklesimer, of Tutor Key in Johnson County who worked at King’s Daughters Clinic in Prestonsburg is accused of stealing people’s credit card information.

Mingo mother and daughter accused in child, animal neglect investigation appear in court
WILLIAMSON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A mother and daughter accused in a child and animal neglect investigation in Mingo County appeared in court Thursday. Sharon Simpson, 63, and Christi Hatfield, 37, both of Williamson were arrested May 7 at an apartment building on West 4th Avenue. The mother and daughter lived in separate apartments in the building, according to family members who said the children were in Simpson's apartment.
