UNITE to host free ‘Shoot Hoops Not Drugs’ basketball camps with Jarrod Polson; Martin County one of seven locations
This summer, Operation UNITE is hosting seven free regional Shoot Hoops Not Drugs basketball skills camps across southern and eastern Kentucky. The camps, led by former University of Kentucky point guard and four-time All-SEC Academic Team member Jarrod Polson, offer school-aged youth a fun and interactive environment to learn basketball skills while promoting a drug-free lifestyle.
Johnson County woman on the run from police after stealing from King’s Daughters Clinic
Prestonsburg Police Department has issued a warning to the public of credit fraud and hoping for help in locating the woman they suspect in the crime. WILLIAMSON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A mother and daughter accused in a child and animal neglect investigation in Mingo County appeared in court Thursday. Sharon Simpson, 63, and Christi Hatfield, 37, both of Williamson were arrested May 7 at an apartment building on West 4th Avenue.
