Five Guys Burgers and Fries recently closed its doors at White Oaks Mall after a decade of operation in that location. This has left many residents disappointed as the nearest Five Guys to Springfield is now over 1 hour’s drive away from this location. The closure left the space formerly occupied by Kerasotes Theatres, which had shut down in 2008, vacant.

Papi's Pizza Pub opens Friday with pies more likely to elicit cries of “Arriba! Arriba!” instead of “Mama mia!”. “We’ve got different flavors than offered in other places,” owner Ryan Bandy said of the new establishment at 1710 S.
