    Mom is one of a kind and local eateries know it.

    Lucky for you there is a wide range of culinary treats available for Mother’s Day to help show your appreciation, whether your matriarch’s tastes is more fried chicken or chicken salad, custom chocolates or French macarons, a flight of lemonade-sweet tea samplers or endless mimosas.

    The Farmhouse Restaurant

    Ham and turkey are on the carving station for Mother’s Day brunch buffet at The Farmhouse Restaurant at Harvest Market.

    The brunch buffet will be available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    In addition to the carving station, the spread will feature roasted chicken, smoked salmon, shrimp cocktail, a variety of side dishes, deli salads, fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as an array of breakfast items like scrambled eggs and breakfast meats. A dessert table will be filled with cakes and cookies.

    Dine in only. Cost is $20 for adults, $10 for kids ages 5 to 10. Children 4 and younger eat for free when accompanied by an adult.

    Bloody Marys, mimosas and pints from the Munster, Ind.-based craft brewer Three Floyds Brewery will be available for at an additional cost from Farmhouse Brews.

    Diners will be accommodated first-come, first served at the 3000 Veterans Parkway eatery in White Oaks West.

    The Dublin Pub

    Mom gets a free, three-piece fried chicken dinner at The Dublin Pub.

    The scratch-made dinner comes with mashed potatoes, green beans and a roll. Offer is good for dine in only May 12. One free meal per paying adult.

    Incredibly Delicious

    Incredibly Delicious is highlighting spring’s bounty in its special Mother’s Day brunch Saturday, May 11 from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    Selections range from mixed berry stuffed French toast ($10.25) to spring asparagus salad ($13.45) to the eatery’s signature quiches paired with choice of soup or salad ($13.25).

    Seating at the 925 S. Seventh St. eatery is first come, first served. The brunch menu also is available for takeout by calling 217-528-8548.

    It’s also not too late to place an order for Mother’s Day treats to take home. Orders must be placed online at incrediblydelicious.com before midnight May 5. Pick-ups available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 11.

    Featured 8-inch cakes are a lemon-elderberry creme cake, French macaron and a flourless chocolate cake. Costs range from $32 to $62.

    Can’t choose? Opt for the dessert box with a slice of each cake, along with a tropical tart, a chocolate-caramel tart and strawberry cream puff for $38.50.

    Other delectables include the classic croissant box ($22) and stuffed French toast for two ($21). Assorted macaron flavors are vanilla bean, strawberry-passion fruit, lemon cream, matcha-mango, mimosa and lavender lemonade. One of each variety for $15.

    Other features include an assortment of artisan breads and rolls, as well as chicken salad ($14.25/pint, $25.95/quart) and quiche ($26.50/half quiche, $48.50/whole).

    Legacy Point Eatery

    Toast your matriarch with bottomless “mom-osas” at Legacy Point Eatery this Mother’s Day.

    The champagne and juice concoction is available with orange juice ($19.99) or premium juices like pineapple, grapefruit and cranberry ($24.99).

    Menu specials for the day include eggs Benedict $16.99 or steak and egg served with American fried potatoes and toast ($26.99).

    The daily features are available in addition to the Sunday Funday a la carte offerings.

    The restaurant at 1130 Legacy Pointe Drive is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    Mariah’s Steakhouse & Pasta

    A limited dinner menu will be available at Mariah’s Steakhouse & Pasta Mother’s Day.

    Select entrees include Prime rib, turkey, chicken marsala, salmon, lobster ravioli and cremini mushroom ravioli. Prices range from $29 to $59. All entrees come with a house salad. The dessert menu includes bread pudding, New York cheesecake, chocolate cake and white chocolate-raspberry cheesecake.

    Reservations for dine-in seating will be available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Take out also is available but orders must be placed by May 5.

    Pease’s at BUNN Gourmet

    Whether mom’s sweet tooth leans to floral-inspired, laced with honey and herbs or vegan Pease’s at BUNN Gourmet has just the treat.

    The sweet shop at 1941 Plaza Drive in The Gables is taking pre-orders through May 8. Special selections include decorated sugar cookies (choice of regular or vegan for $3.49), chocolate-raspberry mousse (choice of regular or vegan for $3.99), floral shortbreads ($6.99) and honey-lavender mini cakes ($6.99).

    Three Twigs & Co.

    Three Twigs & Co. is sending a “Thank You” to all the mom’s out there by kicking off the return of Sunday hours on Mother’s Day.

    The Montvale Junction cafe and bakery will once again operate daily from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., beginning May 12. This will be the first Sunday hours offered since they were eliminated in the fall of 2023.

    The regular brunch menu will be served with features ranging from the brunch horseshoe to the fried chicken and flapjacks, avocado toast to the chickpea salad wrap. Gluten free and vegan options available.

    A special sweet tea and lemonade flight will be served May 11 and 12. The feature includes four selections – rosemary lemonade, lemon-berry lemonade, peach sweet tea and raspberry sweet tea.

    English tea anyone?

    How about treating mom to a Mother’s Day tea?

    The Wakery is partnering with Homemade Passions by Bryce to prepare a English tea May 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. at 5 W. Old State Capitol Plaza.

    The menu features an egg, cheddar and chive bagel, cranberry-walnut chicken salad wonton, fresh fruit, lemon-olive oil bundt cake, and a chocolate chip scone, as well as a choice of teas and cocktails. Cost is $35 a person. Tickets can be purchased online at springfieldwakery.com/shop under the “event tickets” tab through May 8.

    Broadgauge

    Prime rib and ham are the stars at Broadgauge’s Mother’s Day brunch buffet.

    The all-you-can-eat spread will be served at the Petersburg restaurant May 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $48 for adults, $22 for children ages 4 to 12. Kids three and younger eat for free.

    Other buffet highlights are scrambled egg frittatas, French toast, biscuits and gravy, breakfast meats, Caesar salad, shrimp cocktail, a variety of side dishes and a dessert display. For reservations, call 217-386-5669 or email broadgauge.com/mothersdaybrunch .

    Ollie’s Diner & Candy Shoppe

    Ollie’s Diner & Candy Shoppe in New Holland is letting mom customize her own horseshoe with a build-your-own brunch buffet from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mother’s Day.

    The spread features a variety of toppings to craft both breakfast ‘shoes, as well as the more traditional open faced sandwich topped with hamburger patties, chicken strips and other proteins. Dessert options also will be featured on the buffet.

    Cost is $9.25 for a single trip to the buffet or $19.95 for all-you-can-eat.

    All mom’s get a flower with a buffet purchase and hand-dipped chocolates are available for purchase from the candy shop.

    Mimi’s Kitchen

    Mimi’s Kitchen in Divernon is laying out a brunch spread for mom.

    Breakfast selections on the all-you-can-eat buffet features scrambled eggs, quiche, French toast casserole, biscuits and gravy, hashbrown casserole, sausage patties and fresh fruit. Round out the meal with garlic-herb chicken breast, roasted vegetables, salads, assorted scratch-made desserts and punch.

    Cost is $18.99 for adults; $10.99 for children 12 and younger.

    Wild Hare Cafe

    The Wild Hare Cafe’s signature Mother’s Day salad is the daily special at the Elkhart eatery.

    The menu features the strawberry-chicken salad on mixed greens with the house-made raspberry viniagrette. The meal comes with grilled herbed bread. Cost is $17.99.

    Orders also can be placed from the regular menu.

    The meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with the final seating at 2 p.m.
