    Woman charged with stabbing man in back

    JENKINS TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A woman is being charged after police say she stabbed a man at a mobile home park in Jenkins Township.

    According to the Jenkins Township Police Department, officers were called to Quite Cove mobile home park around 6:00 a.m. for a report of a stabbing.

    Once police arrived on the scene, they said a Jillian Clapps, 47, was seen fleeing a mobile home. When questioned if she stabbed someone, police say she replied “he stabbed himself” to officers.

    Police then spotted a 53-year-old man holding a towel to his back, and officers saw what appeared to be a stab wound, as stated in the affavit.

    The victim claimed he was sitting on a chair getting dressed when Clapps stabbed him, according to court documents.

    Clapps was charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person. She was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility on a $100,000 bail.
