Nice today, unsettled stretch ahead
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) — Happy Monday, our Monday morning started with patchy dense fog early on, but we find more sunshine into this afternoon and evening. While most of us see a good deal of sunshine, there could be more cloud cover and a few spotty showers the further west you look, in particular out towards St. Lawrence County. High temperatures for the day climb back into the mid and upper 70s this afternoon. Clouds return for most tonight, as lows dip into the 50s and lower 60s by early Tuesday morning.

Scattered showers and possible afternoon thunderstorms. An isolated severe storm isn’t out of the question, but the overall risk is very low.
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Today will be a fairly active day with mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers and thunderstorms. An isolated severe thunderstorm can’t be ruled out during the afternoon and early evening, but at this time the risk is low, especially since morning clouds and showers are expected to limit the risk. We’ll keep an eye on the situation. There may be locally a half inch or more of rain, but flooding isn’t expected. Highs will be in the 70s.
