A video of a shoeless man taking on an 8-foot alligator wandering the streets of Jacksonville has gone viral -- and for good reason because if you haven't seen it yet, you're going to want to. See it here.

Mike Dragich, who is a licensed Florida alligator trapper, is the man in the video, which was shared on his social media accounts.

In the video, the beast can be seen running through the streets before Dragich gets behind it and subdues it, ending the public nuisance.

Dragich shared with News4Jax that he got news of the alligator causing issues in Jacksonville while he was at a hockey game with his family.

“I was at a hockey game (in) downtown Jacksonville with my family,” Dragich told News4Jax. “Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office called the emergency alligator situation to FWC, and I was dispatched. It was only five minutes from the game, so I literally left the game, caught the alligator, and then went back to the game.”

After the sheriff’s office called for a trapper, Dragich jumped in his car and arrived at the gator’s location near a shopping plaza.

Not having his equipment with him, the veteran and MMA artist decided to get his hands dirty, wrangling the best barehanded and shoeless.

While Dragich makes it look cool, experts have warned that these situations are extremely dangerous, especially in April, the start of alligator mating season.

Those who have an encounter with a gator are asked to call their local authorities.

Still, this wasn’t anything new for Dragich, who has gained internet notoriety for his alligator wrestling, one of which happened at a school campus last May.

Dragich is also the owner of the Project Savior Outdoors nonprofit, which provides retreats for military veterans to prevent suicide.
