    FCH upgrading lighting Brian Smith Tue, 04/30/2024 - 8:38 pm Faith Community Hospital will have its lights throughout the hospital retrofitted over the next two to three months. Chief Operating Officer Jeff Casbeer told FCH board members at their Thursday, April 18 meeting that the contract with E3 Energy Service is awaiting final approval. The cost of the upgrade is just at $300,000. Casbeer said they hope to start the project early next month and, once materials arrive, should take a couple of weeks to complete. “It’s a guess, but I’m hoping to have the project completed some time in July,” Casbeer said. Chalmers resigns Board member Leslie Chalmers announced her resignation from the board of trustees and the hospital foundation board due to her moving out of the hospital district In her resignation letter, Chalmers said she “thoroughly enjoyed” her time on both boards. Board member Jacey Brittain will take Chalmers’ spot on the foundation board. Foundation bylaws state that a member of the board of directors must sit on the foundation board. Other hospital news In his report, Chief Information Officer David Odom said the work continues on changing hospital software from MEDITECH back to athenahealth. Things are going well and Odom said the hospital should go live with the new software Tuesday, Aug. 27. CEO Frank Beaman said the MEDITECH database will be accessible during the switch over to athenahealth. Beaman said the _nance team is in “hyperdrive” getting ready for the switch over.
