Man barricaded inside North Andover home dies after firing several rounds at officers, police say
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — A man who barricaded himself inside a North Andover, Massachusetts, home early Thursday died after an hourslong standoff with police. Police were called at 10 p.m. Wednesday to 416 Waverly Road for a report of a person firing a gun inside the residence. A family member told police the 36-year-old man was experiencing a mental health episode, officials said.

While no especially large storm struck, extensive high waters flooded Masconomo Park multiple times and even made Beach Street impassable once during high tide.
