Three arrested on firearms charges in Salem
SALEM, MA — Salem Police arrested three individuals and recovered four firearms, including a machine gun and a ghost gun, following a traffic stop Nov. 3. Patrol officers received a “Be on the Lookout” alert at approximately 11:15 p.m. for a motor vehicle connected to an armed robbery that occurred earlier in the evening in Chelsea.

Salem, MA WinnCompanies has secured financing for a 115-unit, mixed-income apartment building designed to revitalize the northern gateway to downtown. The $48 million construction project will deliver a true mixed-income community offering a range of affordability and apartment sizes – 20 studios, 60 one-bedroom units and 35 two-bedroom units. Of the 115 apartments, 55 will be available to households earning up to 60% of Area Median Income (AMI); 22 will be available at incomes up to 30% AMI; 20 will serve middle-income households; and 18 will be rented at market rates.

Revere, MA Weighs 1,700-Unit Housing Project
The city of Revere is eying a large redevelopment plan that would create 1,700 new affordable and market-rate homes about five miles northeast of downtown Boston. The Revere Housing Authority presented a proposal to the Revere City Council last week requesting a zoning change that would allow for development on a 40-acre site at Cooledge Street, near the city’s main street and commercial district, as reported this week by the Revere Journal.
