ASBURY PARK, NJ - The Mayor's Wellness Committee for Asbury Park is expanding its reach with a community event set for Thursday, May 16th, from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Home Drug Store, located at 814 Main Street at the corner of 1st Avenue. This free event, held in collaboration with Home Drug Store and the Asbury Park Library, aims to promote health and well-being among residents by teaching them how to start their own container gardens. Attendees will receive all the necessary materials, including containers suitable for small spaces, seeds, and soil, at no cost. This initiative is perfect for those looking to add a bit of greenery to their homes but may lack the space for a traditional garden. NJDOT announces plan to restructure roundabout in Wall
WALL TOWNSHIP — Officials with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) have announced their intention to improve the infrastructure of a roundabout in Wall. The project is aimed at improving safety at the intersection of Routes 33 and 34 and County Road (CR) 547/Asbury Road. This is due in part to the crash rate on the intersection compared to the state’s average for roadways similar to the roundabout.

Car crashes into Holmdel Chipotle while trying to park; restaurant closed for repair
HOLMDEL - A car crashed into Chipotle Tuesday afternoon, leaving the restaurant closed until the damage can be repaired, police said. About 4:05 p.m., a vehicle attempting to park alongside Chipotle on Route 35 hopped the curb and crashed into the building, according to Holmdel Police. The car penetrated the interior of the building, but there were no injuries inside of the restaurant.
