The Indiana Fever are 0-1 to start the 2024 WNBA regular season following Tuesday night's 92-71 loss to the Connecticut Sun.

Caitlin Clark, the No. 1 overall pick in April's WNBA Draft, led the Fever with 20 points in her highly anticipated debut. She also added three assists and two steals, however, also committed 10 turnovers in the loss.

After the game, Fever coach Christie Sides addressed Clark's debut performance by calling many of her turnovers 'uncharacteristic.'

She also mentioned that the team could help her out by coming back to the ball more often.

"Christie Sides also mentioned she thought the team could help Clark out more if they'd come to the ball more," ESPN's Alexa Philippou writes.

The Fever got off to a rough start against Connecticut in the season-opener Tuesday night, falling behind by six points after the first quarter and 14 points by halftime.

Indiana managed to cut the deficit to six points in the second half, however, the Sun used a dominant fourth-quarter to ultimately pull ahead and secure the victory.

Clark and the Fever will be back in action on Thursday night against the New York Liberty.

Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
