INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS/AP) -- Newly released video shows a man deliberately crashing his car into a police station in North Jersey. The crash happened last week at the Independence Township Police Department in Warren County.Prosecutors said the driver had also crashed his car into a home earlier that day.Fortunately, police said no one was hurt in either crash. However, at least one officer just narrowly escaped being struck when the driver, identified as John Hargreaves, 34 of Belvidere, drove into the Independence Township police headquarters. N.J. man charged with pointing rifle during dispute
A 50-year-old man is facing an aggravated assault charge following a dispute this week at a Mount Olive Township home. Terrance D. Battle, of the Budd Lake section of the township, also is charged with possessing a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Mount Olive police officers responded shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday to a home along Foothill Avenue in Budd Lake.

Town of Newton 2023 Fall Festival and Car Show Set for October 8
NEWTON, NJ – Plans are being made for the 2023 Fall Festival Vendor and Car Show. The outdoor event will be held on Sunday, October 8 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Fall Festival will be held on Spring Street. The car show will be held in municipal parking lot number 4 on Trinity Street. Admission is free. In addition to the vendors and food, attendees will be treated to live music.
