Twice in my life I’ve packed up and moved to a community I didn’t know. So, I know what it is like to arrive as an outsider and wonder, will anyone make room for me here?

MasterChef champion Kelsey Murphy has quietly transformed the former Fishers Test Kitchen inside Sun King Fishers into Clutch Kitchen, a chef‑driven spin on elevated game‑day food that slid open to the public during a January soft launch. For now, the team is working off a pared‑down menu while crews fuse the Test Kitchen's three pods into a single full‑service restaurant and carve out a chef's‑table room. Even in this in‑between phase, locals have been lining up at peak hours for smash burgers and the Cuban sandwich that helped raise Murphy's profile. Vera Mae's opened in 1999 as a lunch delivery and catering business but grew to establish itself as one of the most popular and well regarded restaurants in the area. Over the years, it became known for hosting family celebrations. Its owners, Kent Shuff and Steve Fennimore, renovated 209 S.
