Man fires rifle from window, damages trailer and is arrested
BEDFORD – A Bedford man was arrested after Lawrence County Central Dispatch received two calls reporting a confrontation between two neighbors. The first caller reported a male in the 80 block of Ryan Lane had discharged multiple rounds in the direction of their property. One of the rounds struck a vehicle trailer.
Report of unwanted man, arrest made
BEDFORD – On Sunday, May 12, at 9:26 p.m., Bedford Police Officer Christian Anderson responded to a complaint of an unwanted male in the 1000 block of 24th Street. The caller reported that 53-year-old Bradley Goss had just left. The caller said Goss had been served an eviction notice and was to leave the home by 6:00 p.m. that day.

Road closure planned for State Road 56 near French Lick next week
The Indiana Department of Transportation announced an upcoming road closure for State Road 56 near French Lick. On or around Monday, May 20, crews will begin daily road closures on State Road 56 near French Lick in Dubois and Orange counties. These closures will occur between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays. The closures will allow for a chip seal and fog seal project. Depending on the weather, the work is expected to take two weeks to complete.
