Trump and Biden win in Huron County and Michigan
With the Michigan Presidential Primary over and an estimated 98% of the state's votes counted, front-runners President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump won their party's votes by a large margin. Michigan being a straight ticket state meant that those voting could only vote for one candidate on either the Democrat side or Republican side. In Huron County, Trump received 3,700 votes beating out Nikki Haley who had 1,118 votes. In the state, Trump won 14 delegates after securing 68.2% of the vote, with Haley receiving four delegates with 22.6% of votes. Luke Deming, the vice chair of the Huron County Republican Party, said that the local party is looking forward to seeing the rest of Trump's campaign. "We are happy to see he came out ahead," said Deming. "We wish him the best of luck."
