Woman hospitalized following shooting in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) — One person was taken to the hospital after being shot in the leg Wednesday night.

That’s according to Cabell County dispatchers who say it happened in the 900 block of 22nd Street in Huntington around 10:30 p.m.

A release from Huntington Police said that it was a 23-year-old Huntington woman who was injured after shots were fired at her and a man outside her home. She was transported by Cabell County EMS for reportedly non-life threatening injuries.

No one is in custody at this time, and Huntington Police are investigating.
