ID Released For Woman Struck, Killed By SUV In Wallkill
The incident happened around 11 p.m. Friday, May 10, in Orange County on Route 211 near Route 17 in the town of Wallkill. New York State Police say that a preliminary investigation revealed that Connecticut resident Mary C. Shea, age 38, from the town of Naugatuck in New Haven County, was walking on Route 211 when she stepped off the curb and into the right lane of traffic when she was struck by a 2017 Ford Escape that was traveling west.

NY weather: Weather alert issued for dense fog in part of New York Tuesday morning
A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 6:23 a.m. for dense fog until 8 a.m. for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties. "Patchy dense fog is being observed in parts of the area and will remain before 8am. Motorists should be prepared for rapid changes in visibility while driving in these areas early this morning. Visibilities within the patchy dense fog will be down to a quarter mile or less. Use caution if traveling this morning. Use low-beam headlights and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you," says the weather service.

PORT JERVIS – Merciful Love and Redemption (MLR) Holy Church and Cultural Center, formerly known as Port Jervis’ Deerpark Reformed Church, has been deemed as an unsafe structure, with occupancy prohibited following the collapse of part of the ceiling in the sanctuary. The prohibition order was issued on May 7 by Port Jervis Code Enforcement Officer David Rivera.
