OSHA investigating after contractor seriously injured in fall at Rivian plant
A federal workplace safety agency is investigating after a person working for a contractor inside the Rivian plant was seriously injured in a fall. The fall happened April 11 inside the Rivian manufacturing plant in Normal. WGLT was not able to confirm the age or residence of the worker, but the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) confirmed the person was seriously injured.
Bloomington designated a Tree City USA Community for 38th year
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) — Bloomington was recognized again for their forestry by the Arbor Day Foundation on Monday. A Bloomington Parks and Recreation news release states that community was honored by the non-profit for a forestry department, a tree care ordinance, a community forestry plan with a $2 per capita budget allocation, and of course, observing Arbor Day.

Illinois is moving its statewide call center for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline from Bloomington to Southern Illinois starting in July.
