Kids can see 12 movies for $18 at Bloomington movie theater
BLOOMINGTON (25News Now) - Parents wanting to take their kids to the movies can save a ton of money on tickets at the Bloomington Marcus Theatre this summer. From June 9 to Aug. 29, families can take advantage of company’s Summer Kids Dream Passport series. While tickets will be $3 per movie, families who purchase the summer passport can see all 12 movies for $18.
One displaced after two mobile home fires in Bloomington
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) — The Bloomington Fire Department responded to two mobile home fires near Seventh Street and Avenue A on Saturday. According to the department, fighters arrived on the scene at about 6:36 p.m. and found thick black smoke and fire coming from the side of a mobile home. The heat from the flames ignited the mobile home next door.

Dr. Faran Bokhari, chief of trauma at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, refers to the late-spring/early-summer period as “trauma season,” when the rising temperatures coincide with a rise of injuries from car and motorcycle crashes, farm accidents and gunshot wounds.
Anniversary bash toasts Reverberation Vinyl's 13 years — as records reasserted themselves
Every spring, John Anderson converts Bloomington’s Reverberation Vinyl into a mini concert venue. It’s his way of marking another turn around the sun for the Main Street record store he opened 13 years ago. It’s as good an excuse as any to get some of Anderson’s favorite bands to play Bloomington-Normal, in what he’s haphazardly labeled Reverberation’s annual anniversary/pre-Milwaukee Psych Fest/general bacchanal.
